Ogo Okoye-Johnson

Dr. Ogo Okoye-Johnson wrote Oma and the Faithful Daughter in order to expose her children and all children to the wonderful folktales she heard as a child in Nigeria. These stories teach many universal and character building lessons. As an avid multicultural practioner, she recognizes the essential relationship between the cultural background of students and their academic success. Dr. Johnson will read her picture book and children will have an opportunity to color the provided handouts celebrating her folktale.
